bought at the Biertage 2007; labeled as top fermented Schwarzbier using mais - pours a very dark brown colour with a fast disappearing head; slightly toasted with notes of butter, caramel and diacetyl; sweet and medium-bodied at best; low carbonation; residual sweetness with a long caramelish finish - has about anything you can do wrong with a Schwarzbier
